Spring Break 2009
Day 3
Day 3 was awesome (now even more awesome-I threw that in for you, Alex :0)) because Daddy played hookie and hung out with us ALL day! He battled the L.A. traffic and took us to The Page Museum at the La Brea Tar Pits. Joshua has been begging to go there for months, so needless to say he was completely stoked. Lucky for us we were able to get in free because of our SB History Museum Membership. Nice!
First we stopped at a pizzeria across the street from the museum where we enjoyed yummy pizza and root beer. Once we had our fill, we headed to the Museum.

The museum was great fun. We saw all kinds of really cool prehistoric animal remains.

The museum also has a nice atrium where we saw lots of cute turtles catching some rays, beautiful flowers and a waterfall.

Of course we had to hit up the museum's store! Everyone got to pick out a cool toy. Each boy got a dinosaur puzzle. Joshua also got a prehistoric rhino toy and Christopher a bag of cool rocks. Alex picked out a NOVA special about the prehistoric marsupials of Australia. We made out like bandits!
After our museum excursion we fought our way through the traffic once more and somehow ended up touring Beverly Hills. But we eventually ended up driving past the L.A. temple, so that made the drive worthwhile. (Sad that the Sea Gull Book across the street is gone though. Apparently it, "went back to Utah", as the man inside the empty building informed us.)
It was a very long trip home. We all decided that we hated L.A. and couldn't wait to get back to Santa Barbara! L. A. is such a busy place...way too busy for me. (I mean, is it really necessary to have a 100 foot high billboard of ipods?!) Back to quiet, laid back Santa Barbara please!
Day 3-Even more AWESOME!!!!!
